Which diff to buy

Featured Replies

which diff should i but for my fabia

the peloquin slip/lsd diff

for the quaife atb lsd

opinions would be great. experience even better

the peloquin.. comes with all necessery bolts and is cheaper than the quaife... have used quaife on many cars in the past with no problems but i found the peloquin for the fabia was around £100 cheaper when i was looking and does the very same thing, never heard of one malfunctioning yet.. also i believe the quaife does not come with the fitting bolts in with the price.. bit sad really when you are spending that much you would think it would come with £3 worth of bolts!

I have a quiafe and it's great! Mine was fitted by Awseome Gti and that's what they use so that explains my choice.

I had a Quaife in mine.

Fantastic piece of kit, massive improvement on the previous Fabia i had without one.

Can't comment on the Peloquin personally though. But i'd go for whichever was the best deal as i'm sure you'd not be able to tell anything between the two.

Last time I was looking the Peloquin was more expensive by about £150. Plus the proper bolts for the Quaife are £100ish. Still makes the Quaife cheaper after buying them. I cant say i`v used the Pelo, but my mates fabia (circa 200bhp) with the Quaife is great.

Edit just looked on Jabba/Awesome same kinda price difference.

Seems you can get the quaife atb diff from demon tweeks cheaper than anywhere else.

Has anyone got any other suggestions

Speak to darkside for a diff price too :)

sorry but i dont know who darkside is

Bolts as mentioned for the Quaife are indeed nearer the £100 mark if you go for "ARP" Think more along the lines of aircraft grade bolts which won't break.

The Peloquin diff was rumoured to be a straight copy of the Quaife design, (regardless of atb / lsd suffixs) which was all down to a patenting issue with Quaife in the U.S. *Sourced from a couple of VW forums*

Also worthy of note is the mention of Peloquin supplied bolt issues, once upon a time...

I've owned several Quaife products, they are expensive, but I've not had one break.

Whichever is the cheapest qt the time of ordering... they are both identical in every way
