Looks ace :D

Thanks.

I now have Camo Fever (akin to Carbon Fever) I've been eyeing up the washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, toaster........... :bandit: :bandit:

You never fail to scare me. :giggle:

I mean, where is the roofbox? I don't see it.

At least on your fabia, you only need the black and dark grey. The rest can be the original paint. ;)

That's actually bonkers and ace. My dad has a Concord roof box and I may end up doing the same!!

What's the blue sticker on the window?

I have some stencils you can borrow. Sticker wise....... a little homage to the 'scene' it reads Soot Chucker :giggle:

A great weekend at Wychwood festival. Left the Roofbox on as not had time yesterday to remove it.

I get a call from SWMBO this morning almost in tears, "you know the multi storey car park in town........"

IMG-20120612-WA0000.jpg

My head is full of extremely rude words all jostling for release. Rear end of the box is split, hopefully repairable and it's back to stencilling again :@

I hope the bars and rails are intact.

"I only touched the hanging sign on the way in, and only scraped about 5 pipes going in and out of the car park"

Yikes!

See, if you'd fitted those very expensive coilovers, the car would have been that little bit lower and damage averted!

Not helpful, hope you can get it sorted!

Ouch, hopefully it'll be fixable

Ordered up some more rattle cans and some 1mm ally sheet from eBay.

The plan is to plate and POP rivet along the crack after sealing it, then repaint

Women! :wonder:

Nevermind, I'm sure you will make it look amazing once more...

Pre-carparkgate, that looked great!

Finally got it off the roof today and inspected the damage close up.

Scratches and paint transfer on top not too bad. Sanded most of it off already.

There is a fairly sizeable crack along the top of the rear elevation where the downward pressure got too much. :-(

Hoping I can sort it with the ally plate for rigidity, and some resin to make it water tight.

  • 2 weeks later...

That damn roof box, always causing trouble :giggle:

At least it's only the roofbox and not the motor, hope you can sort it out.

  • 6 months later...

Just spotted this...looks cool. Good work btw before it trashed.
