Are the pd150s actually any stronger than the 130s or am i best going hybrid for my mods and if i want a decat and maybe more after awhile aswell?

or new garret pd 150 from turbo dynamics at not a bad price http://www.turbodynamics.co.uk/shop/7210215006s-new-genuine-turbocharger-for-vag-19tdi-150bhp-p-2283.html , just thinking a hybrid is going to cost an extra 400 wich i could put towards a custom remap on the rollers to keep my boost levels safe etc.

Oil mate and I had a pd150 on mine it seemed to pull a bit better but it all depends what power you are after I blew my pd150 turbo due to over boost it turned out to be so I have gone down the hybrid route

If I went with the pd150 i would look at about 170-80 bhp try to keep the boost down abit and hopefully stay reliable at that power and run my standard clutch still. Also if i went 150 i think i would put a decat on and leave it at that with my current mods, but do the decat with the turbo replacement and have it all mapped in together.

If you where going go for that band new turbo from turbo dynamics you can get a hybrid 130 from turbo technics for £650 plus your turbo but you would be safe to up to 200bhp

cheers for the link mate, there are no prices on the site which is a pain. i have contacted the sales team though asking for an exchange price for my blown pd130 on a hybrid pd130.

so did the hole in your pipe cause your turbo to go dav or it just caused alot of mess? also will all this oil be through my nice new cooler and pipes?

It's shows the price on my fone lol and no the hole just made the car lose boost but then I had it fixed then the turbo only last 4hrs before going bang and found out it was due to that little black box on top of the strut under the bonnet letting the car boost to about 2bar in stead of about 1.6bar. Have you seen that hybrid pd130 on eBay £499 got no bids and only got 1 day left mate

yer i have they have stage one and two in the pd130 and 150 but i havnt got any money at the moment and i think i would prefer to buy from a repitable company when it comes to things like this. Are you on about the vacuum box with the pipes coming from it? i was told mine was running up nearly 2 bar before settling to 1.6 so this could be an issue for me aswell.

also will check it on my phone now cheers.

Joe is yours an ASZ or BLT? if its an ASZ Thompsaa (i think thats how its spelt) has one from his ibiza hes breaking in the for sale section. I was after it for my BLT as my little black box is on the blink too!!

Funny how I've never seen much written about these magic black boxes then 3 come along at once! My cars had crazy boost spikes on my brand new hybrid but luckily it was found as soon as the stage 2/3 map was put on and revereted back until we cured the problem. I'm currently running stage 1 fueling with standard boost request as its requesting 1.4bar and peaking to 1.9! Thankfull the hyrbrids internals are tougher than the standard turbos and it seems to have survived the high boost :)

I was reading yesterday about a guy blowing 2 turbos in a row before discovering the vacuum box was wrong.

6Q0906625C is the BLT P/N

6Q0906625 seems to be the ASZ one. that C on the end is important.
