She's lovely. The dealer told me. Apparently, she was overheard talking to an Octavia in the workshop and she said that she has always wanted to go to Scotland because the people there are very, very nice and she really liked wearing a white top all the way from the factory because it made her feel like one of those incredibly handsome snow-white Yetis that she saw being built. Would you believe it... maybe Snowy (that would be Zasn?žený in Czech) and Otka have met before. I think that she may be a bit of a flirt. Her name means 'Lucky' in Czech (or 'fortunate heroine' in German)... She wants to visit Shetland where we already visit periodically and Mull and Skye (as well as Scandinavia and Switzerland). But she will be offended if anyone eats deep-fried pizza or deep-fried Mars bars in her...

You may find that the male Yeti are more often specified with sat-nav as they will not stop and ask for directions.

 

My Jana (a lady Yeti) takes directions from me so it's always my fault of I take a wrong turn, actually it's always my fault regardless.

Thank you MarieK. Work's finished now so it's one more sleep and then catch the train and head down towards pastyland. Very excited that nine weeks of waiting are nearly over. Thanks for your entertaining posts and very amusing wit; it's made the last couple of weeks go a bit faster.

Not waiting any longer – Ottie is gorgeous! Brilliant day yesterday. The dealership were fantastic and The Boss was thrilled to bits.

Not as long as yours! Lovely, steady, very quiet and relaxed compared to a 14-year-old Polo 1.0 and the old Corsa diesel. Pleasantly surprised at how comfy the ride was on the Pirelli Rossos and 17-inch rims (probably been worrying unduly since listening toi the 16" special build club); Love the driving position; love the spaciousness; love the stereo; love the climate control; sooooo glad I didn't go for Amundsen just to get DAB and have to have in-dash satnav so low in the dash – but that's just my preference; managed 218mpg indicated on the Maxidot! Just LOVE her and so does The Boss. And...Otka was sitting next to another of Snowy's white cousins outside the showroom. She is such a flippin' flirt...  :love:

 

More later. Gotta catch up on the work I should have been doing while we were out gallivanting around yesterday.

Oh please you shouldn't have been worrying!  Remember that very few members here have decided that they have need enough to go down that route.  I'm sure you'll be perfectly happy with your 'big' wheels

You're better just having average mpg on display. That can be enough of an obsession trying to keep that high without the ever changing one that you were looking at
