Waiting List

Featured Replies

I hope you were sitting down when you found out!

Bag packed and ready to go?

It's a bit like waiting for the contractions to start, the difference is when the yeti finally arrives, at least you'll get a manual!

Ha, now I'm tracking boats from Emden to Grimsby hoping my monster is on one. It could be a long couple of weeks.

  • Update: In Transit from factory to Germany Port My monster is born and on its way

  • And finally I have a build week, albeit unconfirmed. Week 25...which is five weeks away so probably looking at early/mid July collection.

  • Hi All, New yeti collected today (2nd Jan) from Rainworth Skoda in Mansfield Regency green 170 elegance with Gobi and Annarpurnas. Well pleased with the new motor, far superior brakes to my old 140

Sorry  we have all well nearly all been there, hope its got a first class ticket

Yetis always travel first class.

It's just passport control that slows things up.

They all look the same, just with different coats on. :o

According to dealer update my Snowy is 'on ship'

As to whether or not the ship has left Emden I don't know, but there are two boats on their way to Grimsby and due in tomorrow.

He reckons we'll know by end of week when its in UK, and he should have it with him by end of next week.

So collection should be somewhere between 11th and 15th July (we think).

I drive past the dock every day, if you tell me the ship, I can tell you when it comes in....

I dont know which ship its on though.

But if you like you can watch out for a 'white yeti elegance with sunroof' being unloaded :giggle:

I am now the proud owner of a Yeti monster,

I collected it this morning from Alex Lawrie, Callum spent just on a couple of hours going through all the various documentation then sitting in the car and going through all the controls , he set up my phone and the SD card for my music.

Total lead time from placement of order to pick up today was 40 days. It took 3 days from completion of build to being delivered in to the dealer.

I have as yet only drove a total of 25 miles but nothing disappoints I love it

I am a Skoda / Yeti convert

Just rang the dealer today for a build week (first time trying). Ordered on 25th April, 1.2 TSI DSG Elegance with some extras, build week currently 25 (w/c 17th June) and they said they expect it to be with them ready for collection about 3 weeks later. Much quicker than the 6 month wait I had for my current SM back in 2011!

Dealer rang this morning, my new Yeti is in the country! He's calling me back later today with my new registration number, so sounds like it should all come together very soon! Eeeeeeeeeeeee!

Now, just need to find the V5 and spare key for my current beastie!

I'm sure it'll find a loving new home soon enough. Greenline II SE 1.6 in candy white with added lumbar support, bluetooth integration and auto headlights/rain sensor pack. Just over 15k miles, 61 plate (delivered Oct 2011), soon to be available from Progress Bedford I imagine!

Great news Steve - my Yeti, traded in at Progress Letchworth, was sold at the Northampton branch within days of me getting the new one.

I hope mine is in the country too!

Same build week as Steve.

I'm sitting here ready to book accommodation in peak district but don't want to commit incase the dates change :wonder:

Have you been given an approximate collection date Steve?

Have you been given an approximate collection date Steve?

Not yet, the dealer said he should be able to confirm that when he calls back later today with the reg number. I'll be sure to let you know!

MarieK, Hope you get your arrival date soon. I guess you'll be taking some photographs in Derbyshire - what area are you focusing on? We have a family lodge near Matlock which means we are able to spend plenty of time in the Peaks. Great place to visit and walk etc.

I'm looking at whatever is available at short notice, but yes Matlock/Buxton area looks likely.

I will be taking camera gear in the hope of nice weather as I've never visited the Peak District. If it rains I may just hit the shops in Derby area instead, this would be another novelty as I live 120 miles away from decent shops.

Either way I'm making a wee holiday out of the trip with hopefully some chill out time and getting acquainted with my new monster.

Some lovely areas to drive and enjoy whatever the weather, we're stuck for choice in UK to be honest. If you are in the Matlock area and want to shop in Derby and avoid the traffic - take the train from Matlock. Lovely views along the line.

I missed out on the excitement of the wait, I phoned up about a demonstrator on Friday missed it by 15 minutes and Saturday put down a deposit on a brand new one they had in stock ans if all goes well picking it up Friday.

Hi Vectis, what's the spec, colour etc. Welcome on board. :hi:

Wait till Marie sees this!

She's probably going to jump on you from a great height!

A bit frustrated you see :giggle:

Nice choice BTW :)

Already saw it :wall:

I wouldn't have missed the excitement of the wait for anything

Enjoy your new car Vectis, and please post some pics when you get a chance.

+1

For us (myself and my other half that is) its the first time in our life we are buying a new car as opposed to second hand cars, so it feels like double the excitement and the waiting makes it look in a way more ... real.

Just a follow up on this, got my registration number and have arranged the 7 day insurance to begin from Saturday at the dealer's recommendation. He doesn't have an exact date in the system yet for the transporter drop, but says it should be in the next few days.

Cheers for the update Steve. Not long for you now then.

Be warned it can become addictive (and expensive). Like you the Yeti was our first new car purchase. Then whilst waiting (6mths) for it to arrive we went and test drove a Citigo.

Now we have 2 new cars with about 2 weeks between them !!!
