  • And finally I have a build week, albeit unconfirmed. Week 25...which is five weeks away so probably looking at early/mid July collection.

  • Hi All, New yeti collected today (2nd Jan) from Rainworth Skoda in Mansfield Regency green 170 elegance with Gobi and Annarpurnas. Well pleased with the new motor, far superior brakes to my old 140

I wouldn't care if it had chinese plates, just glad to be finally taking delivery.

Where abouts will you be collecting it? I'll keep an eye out for it in the car storage in Grimsby :P

Its in Grimsby now.

I know, hense why I said I'd keep an eye out lol

Ha sorry, was watching the tennis and reading this at the same time so misread your post.

Collecting from Rainworth.

Lol :) ahh right do you know if they're registering it in Grimsby? If so you'll most likely have a FY or FV reg

FH reg   :)

Let's hope that next week they stand for Finally Here! :sun:

:giggle:

At least I'll remember it, but must remember to use foxtrot hotel instead when I speak to the insurance company

I've stayed in the Foxtrot Hotel.

It's in India and owned by a chap called Oscar .

Yes, Foxtrot Oscar. I remember him well!

FH reg :)

The Forests of Nottingham! You can call your Yeti Robin Hood then.

I was thinking more Farquhar Hamish  :giggle:

Yes Rainworth use the 'Forest' part from Nottingham DVLA of the F series and Hortons over in Lincolnshire use the 'Fens' part from Lincoln DVLA.

Notts FA to FP

Lincs FR to FY

Oh I have a west London plate on my Yorkshire based monster :giggle: and like rockhopper have another LC (Elsie)

From the Highlands; came to me while walking the hills round Pickering this afternoon and no, no idea why this post popped back in the mind while out doing a 9 mile bimble :wonder:

I pick up my Yeti tomorrow! YES!

Hi everyone

I was told not to be shy and dive in on here to announce that I'm waiting so...

She's built and she's got a chassis number. Shark Blue 1.2 TSI SE Manual plus 12-spk SS, HFS, lumbar supports and spare wheel). I'm guessing she's on the train to Emden now – or maybe even closer?

According to dealer it was built Wk 26 but I'm still trying to get a more precise location out of them. Been promised an update today. All I've been told is that I should have it before the end of July (ordered 31 May). Maybe she's closer than I think ...

Anyway, better get on and do a bit of work...concentration levels aren't the best at the moment. Wonder why? (Apart from post-concussion syndrome from walking into a beam in the office a couple of weeks ago.)

What do I do next?

Hello again!  How's the head?  (Industrial injury? :giggle: )

I'd suggest a PM to Vegit8 so he can get your details on the Yeti spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtRHCZbamdkZdEtLR0g1WlY1YlFlVkxmVnY5eTFaSmc#gid=0  That helps potential and actual new customers to see what the current delivery situation is.  It's not so bad now but some of the historic (i.e. orders more than a year ago) were pretty scary - only the brave and the b***dy minded....

Getting better but still got the attention span of a goldfish...

What am I doing here?

Oh yes. All done re the spreadsheet. Thank you for your help.

Got my Yeti 170 L&K this evening at 6PM. And we just got in 5 hrs later on an extended drive :-) The whole family loves it. Even though we have owned "top-end" brands such as BMWs and Mercs, our initial impressions of the Yeti L&K is that it's gone straight to No.1 in our Car Hall of Fame. I feel like a kid with a new toy. The drive and handling is great. The manual gearbox is sharp and sweet and the engine provides lots of pulling power - yes I am being very careful not to rev it ;-)  Yet the car is so quiet that not only did I stall it (as I forgot to change gears) but so did my wife and brother-in-law when they had a go!! However, the stand-out features for me are the panoramic sunroof and the cornering headlights. My In-Laws are now rapidly reconsidering their decision to buy a Ford Kuga - hehe! I think there's a nice ritual on these forums to name your Yeti so I have decided to call it Godot - which is a bit funny in that from the moment I placed the order, I had the car-keys in 24 days. Hope I'm not breaking any Forum Rules, but a big thanks to Lee of Preston Motors.

The same model and colour as mine. It is an excellent car, I have a big smile on my face every time I drive it. Enjoy Godot.

and mine

The more I see the new Kuga on the road the more I like it. It's a good (if generic) exterior design. But that dash?! Yuck. That is what puts me off. What draws me to it though is a decent sized boot. The Yeti has a woefully tiny boot when fitted with a spare wheel alas...

Enjoy your new beastie!

The pleasure was all mine. Did seem a shame to go straight home, so a   for the detour

Just had a quick scout through the Ford site, it's not a cheap option though, compared a Titanium X with an L&K and was surprised to find the X doesn't even have rear parking sensors  :wonder:

Like for like on book figures, the X was coming out over £30k (2.0 TDCI Powershift 160ish). OK the X does get LED DRL's and rear lights plus power boot, but I couldn't see much that made it jump out at me.

Anyway, back on topic......
