Waiting List

Featured Replies

The pleasure was all mine. Did seem a shame to go straight home, so a   for the detour

We just wanted to go driving & give you a chance to get home

We did consider the Kuga but felt the Yeti was better value-for-money.

  • Hi All, New yeti collected today (2nd Jan) from Rainworth Skoda in Mansfield Regency green 170 elegance with Gobi and Annarpurnas. Well pleased with the new motor, far superior brakes to my old 140

nrgb, that's the feeling many of us have when we first own a Yeti. So much so that after three years I traded mine for another. Something I've rarely done.

She's just got off the train at Emden!!!!!!!!

Whoop Hoooo!

I got the transfer docs back from DVLA this morning.

That means I'll have the new beauty very soon.

I'm hoping for Saturday or Monday :)

After a long time waiting, I'd be going nuts! Hope the change over goes well for you.

Went into the dealers today.

Hand over confirmed for Tuesday afternoon :))))

I've cleared all the clutter out of the old one so we're ready to go.

Oh, I found out today that you don't get mats in an SE.

Well I did in the last one so they won't be there when it goes back. :p

.... they won't be there when it goes back. :p

Of course not - you don't get mats in an SE, especially on a Tuesday afternoon.

When you get your candy white monster tomorrow you'll love it that much you'll want to sleep with it!

Or At least have a quick nap in it at a services on your way home. Good luck.

IT'S HERE!

Seen quite a few white Yetis leaving Grimsby over the past week for anyone still waiting :)

Well all is as it should be with the new girl.

Mats from the old car... Check.

Silvered rear indicator bulbs... Check.

LED interior lights... Check.

All the clutter from the old one... Check.

Briskoda roundel on front screen... Check.

Cut the dealer name off the tax disc holder... Check. Don't know why, I just don't like them.

Brisky web address sticker on rear window... Check.

Happy Yeti sticker snuggling the Yeti badge... Check.

Sorted :)

Edit: bugger, forgot to fit the night breakers in the headlamps!

Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

I was going to ask if you had seen a shark blue metallic one heading for Somerset but then I remembered it's at (or maybe not any longer...) Sheerness!

So is this friday D day for you PenTom?

Not long now

Hi Marie

Thank you for remembering and reminding me. Might have forgotten otherwise...  :giggle:  NOT!

Been a bit low profile due to heavy distracting work load writing websites. Probably a good thing. All's done that can be done on the Ottie front. The dealership has my 'War & Peace' wishlist and I know they are doing their bestest. Got my Garland Titan plant tray boot liner for the boot (£20 quid) and my Travall rubber mat (based on your experience – it looks good and I told The Boss that it was a fetishist yoga mat for her when she asked what another parcel was...).

Based on Johann's checklist, our six launch CDs will be Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, Robert Plant The Principle of Moments, Sandy Denny The Best of, Compay Segundo, Eponymous CD, Katie Melua Call off the Search and A.N. Other as yet undecided... any suggestions anybody? HAving not had a CD player in a car before, all the old CDs are getting dragged out... No time yet to load the SD card. It'll keep.

Apparently, the dealership have video of Ottie arriving and being unloaded after her trans-European journey. That's another tick on the Excellence rating card. They are working hard for me and are on target for an honourable mention after tomorrow.

Yep, two more sleeps before we're off on the train to get Ottie and bring her home (not on the train, she's had enough of trains...).

If you read about a murder on a Skoda dealership in Southern England it will have been because Mrs noticed the private plate I have bought. We'd always vowed never to do such things and she will K-I-L-L me when she spots it. I haven't said a word and the dealership has been sworn to silence. The plate is very subtle and is more about Ottie than us. How long does anyone think it will take my good lady to notice? Bearing in mind that she has no idea that I have bought a private plate, and we have always said we would never do so, do you think it will be the first thing she looks at?

She'll kill me, she really will. And when she discovers the under-seat drawers and sun glasses holder that she doesn't know I've ordered ('we've spent enough on her already')... OMG! Help. Or maybe she will think they came with the car...

Roll on Friday. It's been good knowing you all... :hi:

Ohhhh...  I will keep my eyes out for this murder report!  Enjoy (getting) the car.

Thank you. I ams very exciteds (and so, secretly, despite not reading the sales brochure thoroughly, ahd pretending not to be for nine weeks, is Boss lady). Oh, did I mention the reaction when we were going through the list of options we wanted and the 12-speaker soundsystem came up...that was the first Mrs had heard of it. Trade off is a pair of front seat bottie warmers! :whew:

Interestingly, Mrs hasn't yet asked what reg number Ottie is getting, despite the fact that she knows all the admin has been done ready for D-day. Bless.

If we crossed Snowy with Ottie we'd have a Scottie (SBM with white roof?). And we would and all! How spooky is that MarieK?

Ummmm.... Doesn't 'Snowy' begin with 'Sn'?  So where did the 'c' come from?  :wonder:

A rethink about that might be appropriate, perhaps, PenTom? :giggle:

I'm a creative copywriter so I can do what I like with words...  But, er, yes, I was sitting out in the garden when that occurred to me too... Methinks the two parents would be suitably creative to work it out given where Dad lives! Artistic licence rules?
