anyone have pics of their xenons/ hid's on.

Oh ok. I've bought the DEPO copies of originals with all the same fixings. Projectors. But was going to fit h4 hid kit to them to make wiring simple and so I can revert back to norm if required. May do full beam too although it wouldn't be projector, although I suppose light scatter isn't such a problem on full beam, unless I don't switch to dip quick enough wen someone comes along.

Can you tell me if the Depos came with all the covers at the rear of the headlights?

Yip, sure did. Only minus bulbs n ballasts. If I had xenons before it would be a direct swap.

The plug on the back of the OEM units can be in-clipped so that you can remove the wiring loom. Mine are now a hybrid of xenon and halogen wiring harness, but the plug on the car is still the original halogen one, so no adaptor required.

Cheers mate, do you have any mire details or pics of this as this was something I wanted to look at but need to get a wiring diagram for the headlight loom connections before I start. Is the extra two wires a feed for an always +ve and -ve from battery?

On another but related note. ACE PARTS supplied me with the DEPO units. I'm now on my third broken unit. ACEPARTS have been good at sending out replacements as each time it has arrived, the clip which holds the pivot so the headlights can adjust aim has broken. They have never asked that I send units back but felt I needed to this time as its obviously a manufactureing fault as it is the same place on all three. Very well OEM packaged. And sent FedEx, so don't think they wer mishandled. So I have spare 0/S DEPO unit if anyone wants it still boxed with one broken clip, still would work fine or Dan be glued back on easily if bothered. £25 posted uk only. :)

Do you need to swap your headlight

Do you need to swap your headlight

Sorry I don't understand? ACEPARTS gave me 3 o/s xenon DEPO units as they all arrived broken, but obviously I only need 1 o/s, so 1 I'm sending back for them to see the other is maybe up for grabs if someone wants it? And I'll just glue one and use it if it works.

O wait I think I see, you mean did I have to send my headlight to get the xenon one back? If so then no is the answer.

heres my lady with 8000k hids.. apoligies for small pics,,,their a very white light and personally i think 8000k is too bright as i get alot of on coming drivers flashing at me thinking iv my heads on whe im only on dips

They are probably flashing you because of the light scatter you get when fitting these kits into non projector headlights.

you need Different bulbs to run them in reflector head lights. They reduce the scatter. you should adjust your head lights as i never get flashed. HIDs are designed for Projector units so if you are going to run them in reflectors you need to set them up correctly.
