K04 converted Octavia VRS - lots of mods **SOLD**

Jeez, I haven't heard of too many K04s doing that. I know Simon does a lot of mileage but what else was going on to do that?

I haven't written off the possibility of going bigger than K04 but not at this time. My car is a commuter and there is a balance of driveability to think about. Big turbo equates with big turbo lag, dropping down two gears everytime to overtake and I am not sure how often I could realistically use the extra power on a public road. If I go that route I may consider an IHI. Jim@JKM has spare TSI engine to test out strengthened internals so I will watch and see how that goes before jumping in myself.

Enjoy the new car, I think the FLs look nearly as mean as a matte black pre-FL ;)

I kinda agree with you there. The FL is growing on me but I still prefer the meaner look of the pre-FL!

I will give it a couple more weeks and then it's back to standard :(

That would be a shame mate, the market seems dead at the moment, seen cars drop £2k from their asking price just to be sold.

Looks a great car.

Lovely car - must admit that is very very tempting. :whew:

If it had Xenons and Columbus i'd make an offer mate....

Good luck with the sale.

Xenons and a columbus are minor things in my opinion for such a nice car.

I've had one of these before and i think Xenons are important. Also - columbus can be added later - but is another can of worms.

....i'm welcome to my opinion too

As i said - other than that - the car is a great example and a credit to its owner.

If i had a buyer for my current car..... i may be tempted by your offer Alan

Thank you. The car has been cherished and treated well.

On a slightly different note, I am dropping the price by £500. £7500 was the point where I could take a lot of the modifications off myself and sell the car as standard and sell all the modifications to be in profit. £7000 is where I could pay someone else to do the same job so would be a fixed price.

As most of you will know from the project thread for my new car, I have had some devastating news in my personal life and I can not see myself having the motivation to strip the car back despite my interest in tinkering with cars. Furthermore, I imagined myself tackling the car on the driveway on a hot sunny July weekend and, let's face it, that seems like a sick joke at the moment!

Wow - such a shame i can shift my motor at the moment buddy.... reduced my asking price twice this week.... :wall:

  • 3 weeks later...

This is definitely a fantastic car, which is well worth the money and extremely well looked after.

I've had quite a lot of interest in my own car since reducing the price, so hope to be in touch again very soon re coming over from bristol to see it. (per my pm's)

I've got several people getting back to me about viewing this week, so..... fingers crossed!

there is no doubting this is a bargain of the century for someone ;-)

built by one of the best with a track record to match

awesome car i would buy but as ive started a tuning company i dont want to use the work of someone else with my name on its just wrong so im out :@

Thanks Clive and no problem - I fully understand and hope the new tuning business is going well.

Sko-with-go visited me yesterday to see the car so I am hoping that my dream of selling it in its current form to a Brisky member will come true

hope it goes to a good home and gets looked after like you have buddy

its a shame i couldnt have it but it would look a bit silly with my stickers on lol

respect where respect is due jkm are building some awesome toys

Indeed - glad its going to a Briskoda member; only wish it were me really. :wall:

Just not having any luck selling the current car.... i might just have to get the remap done...

Yes, the DC5 is a fantastic bit of kit, 240bhp - no turbo, no supercharger, probably the best 'standard' normally aspirated engine in the world, and awesome handling straight out of the factory BUT.....

Now I'm a bit older, I just love the torque of a big fat turbo

Whoo-ho...... All paid for and collecting tomorrow - excited now
