Oil filters (1.9 PD100)

Featured Replies

Hi folks, does anyone know if this style of filter:

can be used instead of this kind:

I've received the top one for my oil change but used one like the bottom one for my last change.

I'm sure they aren't interchangeable but could be wrong.

Engine is a 1.9 TDi PD100 AXR engine code.

Cheers

just use the one that is assigned to your vehicle at the factors, they can tell from the plate, the oil system is the one you dont wanna experiment with

you've got to use the bottom one, which is the right one

Have sometimes been supplied the top one in error, and they simply don't fit/work. You need the bottom one, with the little spikey jobby on it, whatever that is. :D

Cheers muchly.

Thought it was the bottom one - I was sure that was what I'd used before. Just wanted to check it wasn't an 'either/or'.

Funny how I ended up getting the wrong one, parts guy got it right last time. As you say just an error.

Thanks again.
