Reprogramming Bolero for a clean line out

Featured Replies

I have come to understanding that it is possible to reprogramm Bolero to recieve decent line out for external amplifier. Actually BRISKODA is the only place I have seen it.

Today I called our local distributor and asked about this possibility. They were most surprised of my question and said it has never done before ... but .... (and there is a really big but) .... they told me that if it would be done, it would only work with factory Sound System amplifier and speakers. This is a big no no for me because Superb Sound System does not have the sound quality I seek for. They told that if any other amplifier or speakers are placed, then I would get an error from my car. I never heared that anyone would get an error for aftermarket speakers but this information anyhow is disturbing.

So I seek guidance from smarter people here.

- Does anyone have experience with adding an external amplifier to Bolero radio via reprogramming?

- I have read about two different settings in Bolero radio. First recomendation was "Sound System" and second "Dynaudio". I have never heared about Dynaudio when it comes to Skoda but I believe its an option of VW. What is the best setting for clean line out - "Sound System" or "Dynaudio"?

- Is it really possible that I would get an error message after adding seperate aftermarket amplifier?

- I want to amplify all speakers. It means that I would need only two pairs of wires out of four (speaker outputs from radio). If two pairs are left emty, does it generate any faults or errors?

Thanks in advance! I have started a project of remaking my Superb II audio system and have never tought that getting a decent line out from my radio would be a biggest problem. Well, now it seems to be.
