Fabia Electric Windows Faults

Featured Replies

I took my 61 plate Fabia VRS for it's first service and they picked up on the near side passenger window not working. Every now and again it refuses to work from either the drivers side or passenger side switch but if you operate it via key fob remote it starts to work again for a period of time.

As my Skoda dealer picked up on and logged this fault I booked it in but to my disappointment they had the car a whole day and because they could not create the fault and therefore no parts were changed.

I fully understand that this is an intermittent fault but you would have expected the dealer to change something!

Anyone else had any window or electrical issues?

Or anyone any advise?

My old Fabia would play up sometimes, the one touch would work sometimes and then not. My Roomster has issues with the rear windows, firstly they wouldnt go up properly and this was fixed. Now they sometimes wont stay up! I think Skoda are unable to manufactuer properly working windows and I wish I had wind up ones!

Hi,dealer will not admit but we know of 5 fabias in our area over 6 years that have all had faults with electric windows, fortunatly very few other faults as the cars have been very very reliable.
