Would anybody fancy the task...

Featured Replies

Im after some help in sourcing a Garage or someone that might fancy taking on the task of putting a TDI 1z engine in my 98 feli pickup,

I have a complete engine & all ancilleries including,

Loom,pump,Turbo,Flywheel & Ecu...

This is something i have been looking into a little & think its just out of my reach to tackle myself,so any help locating someone that can do this for fun, without thinking about it then please let me know,Many thanks Dann..

if you can work a spanner then the basics are simple enough most of it will bolt to your motor. only the exhaust downpipe will need modding and the egr valve chopping off and blanking on the inlet mani.

"someone that can do this for fun" = for free?

just checking.

Wouldn't it be easier to bolt on the bits to convert your existing engine to a TD rather than hauling the entire engine out?

Im not sure to be honest, thats why im on here,But someone who could do it in a few days wiring too back on the road.

I really dont want the truck to be off the road for months(If i tried to do it),Its my daily runner & could sacrifice a week without..

I wouldn't say fun was free...Im quite prepared to pay for the work,

Its just doing it in a short space of time not having to research everything & having no transport for months on end..
