Official pics Seat Toldeo (Rapid's brother)

Featured Replies

Official pics have been released of the Seat Toldeo which is the Rapid's brother and will be built by Skoda in Mlada Boleslav. Pretty surprised that they were allowed to release before Skoda when it is a Skoda project!:

I like the interior - do we have a pic of the Rapid?

No but the interior will be basically the same, just decorated differently.

Looks very much like scaled down Superb dash. Quite classy.

SEAT probably need the sales more than Skoda and hence got prioirity.

Be interested to see if the Rapid has variable serving unlike Fabias and SEATs, always was a bug bear for me in a car I wanted to do high mileage in. Any more info, which engines, new engines, gearboxes.

I read somewhere that this car does have variable servicing.

Engines:

1.2 HTP 75BHP

1.2TSI 85BHP

1.2TSI 105BHP

1.4TSI 122BHP

1.6 TDI 90BHP (later)

1.6TDI 105BHP

1.4 TSI also with DSG-7.

I bet this will be expensive, from what Ive heard its going to be pricier than a Roomster! I like the SEAT, looks much nicer than the rest of their range.

I would think so; it will be positioned in the range between the Fabia and Octavia on size and price.

I like to see the 1.4 TSI 160BHP with the 7spd DSG

I just noticed that this car seems to have the world's longest interior door pulls.

Looks like the same location as the Rapid, however instead of being a horizontal bar the Skoda ones turn up in the usual fashion, on the prototype anyway.

Price range is estimated to be from 12,000 - 17,000, so similar to the Roomster as I would expect. If it's any more than that then it becomes as much as an Octavia and they have wasted their time. The whole point of basing it on Fabia/Roomster platform is to keep it cheap.
