Slight leak, looks like it's coming from rad joint..

Featured Replies

Hey,

Noticed a slight dripping from under the car today, put it on the ramps and it looks like it's coming from the passenger side rad joint (the silver square bit in the photo).

Any idea what to do, please not a brand new rad!!

thanks

New radiator, common fail point at the bottom corners.

Mine leaked in that area.... So I replaced the rad (It just started to go on the other side!) and i still had the heak! turned out to be the seal on the stupid "Push Fit" Radiator connector, New seal sorted the problem :)

I'm not saying its not your radiator but, its easier to replace the seal than doing the radiator as thats a massive pain in the ass! Whole front of the car has to come off!

Recently had my radiator replaced as it was leaking on the drivers side and it wasn't all that expensive if thats what your worried about ?

Cheers for the advice, is it easy enough to change the seal myself? done a bit of work on cars, never rads though.. although the old man will be able to jump in at some point haha

How much is a new rad (inc. fitting) roughly?

Thank alot

does anyone know the price of this part? or part number?

or.. how much a new rad costs? and how much you would expect a garage to fit (roughly?)

just trying to weight up how much everything costs and the benefit of doing it yourself..

Thank you in advance

Rad from Tps is £110 fitting around £40ish I got quoted .
