Clutch bite near the floor....?

Featured Replies

While many will say wear shows by the bite being high, can being low can also be an indicator?

Got to lower the pedal almost to the floor

Mine is low, and mine is a few hundred miles old.

Might be worth bleeding. Ignore Haynes and take the battery out.

Might I get symptoms such as being able to change the bite with a couple of pumps if it did neeed a bleed?

Cheers

Quite possibly, unfortunately only one way to find out. Good news is it's easy once you get to the cylinder. The screw needs turning out quite a bit before fluid is released.. How long since the fluid was changed? Often brakes get done but not the clutch. Clean fluid makes a surprising difference. HTH
