When i turn the key on the fabia to start her there i s a single beep that lasts one second, is this normal to tell you you've turned the key or something?

Also just this moring the temperature red symbol with a thermometer came on, but only for 30 seconds and hasnt come on since, what is this telling me? coolant level seems spot on, just a dodgey wire maybe?
