Is this the new Octavia or the previous shape?

Not sure on the new Octavia but the previous Octavia didn't have speake rin the door but in panel next to the rear ost side windows.

Also I wonder if the grills a re a simple lever out with a screw driver like the fronts of previous Octavia.

Cna you take pictures of speakers inthe door by any chance?

Covers should just snap off, if you carefully insert a thin bladed screwdriver into the gap and lever them out, assuming they are like the old octy front ones. Don't know about size, sorry.

They look like the covers don't come off any more , so it's a case of removing the whole door card.

I think the new octavia is going to be a very difficult car to upgrade the audio in.

Dr zoidberg

can you tell me how i can remove the whole door card?

I don't know , sorry.

On the Fabia and the old octavia there are some screws around the door handle area and then a load of clips that hold the panel in place as well. You need to be quite careful as it's possible to break some of the clips.

I don't know of anyone that has done this on the new octavia yet.

If you do manage to remove it , please take some more pictures to help other people.

Good luck

Does ETKA cover the new Octavia if so one of our estemmed Moderators could check outif the grill is separate from the door card.

I would have a go with a flat blade screwdriver to see if it comes away....or give your dealer a call...the parts department should know or be able to check for you.

On looking a the pic again I would say they do come off separately because you 've got to be able to access the door light bulbs to change.....taking the whole card off to change a bulb is pretty extreme although, not as extreme as changing the indicator bulbs in the front wings.
