Would these wheels fit?

Featured Replies

I currently have 165/70R14 on my car. Would 195/65R15 fit onto my car? Obviously not on my current wheel but the alloys I want have these size tyres.

Cheers

Should do

On the basis the with 16's you have 205/45/16 and 17's 205/40/17. A 5mm drop in tyre profile that is.

no there would be approx. 8% difference in rolling diameter, which means your brakes will be working much harder and your speedo will be significantly under reading. anything over a 2% difference is not generally advisable

My current wheel are 14" and these are only 15" alloys?

I would think more likely a 195/55/15

Have a look in the owners manual it should state tire pressures for differnent tire sizes available for the fabia

And see what sized tires skoda deemed suitable for the fabia with 15" alloys

yeah so the rims are an inch bigger, and the side walls are nearly half an inch taller. thats quite a big difference

as above 195/55/15 would be the nearest size

The wheels will fit as they are the same stud pattern etc, but you would have to change the tyres. if you left those tyres on when your speedo reads 70mph your actual speed would be 75mph.

I reckon the best tyre size would be best at 185/55/15 as this would mean your speedo would only be out but 1mph or so.

the profile measurement is a percentage not mm. . .so it'd be 65% of 195. . .and the old one 70% of 165. .
