Voice control phone on `Columbus`

Featured Replies

More than 2 years ago I bought a new Honda CRV. The only thing I liked about it was the voice control phone! To use...hold a button on the steering wheel and say "Call", it would then respond "Say the name of who you wish to call", I would say the "Name", it would then respond "Say yes if you said Name", if I said "Yes" it would go ahead and dial the number...simplicity itself.

Now, I've been repeatedly reading the Superb manual on-line (I'm waiting to take delivery of an Elegance so includes Columbus) and find this aspect of it VERY complicated. Can anyone please tell me (in a nutshell) how the Columbus system works? I doubt its as easy. Many thanks.

Press the scroll wheel on the left of the steering wheel and then it mutes the radio and beeps. You can say '"Radio 1", "Map" or "Call Jack" and it should do exactly that.

I have noticed that the system isnt as fast as my 12 year old 5 series and I suspect its because of the sheer number of commands.

Thank you. I look forward to trying that.
