Getting a Skoda rep to give advice on here

Featured Replies

I never use social networking sites so we will soon find out if Skoda employees DO check this site.

If they do, they can mention my name on twitter as proof.

Who said 'don't hold your breath'. :giggle:

But when I think about it, maybe they depend on US for technical support. They might make it compulsory for their mechanics and technicians to develop their skills via this website.

I think there are afew Skoda persons in here, but I think not only Skoda UK should watch closely this forum but Skoda herself. I think Briskoda.net is one of the greatest Skoda forums worldwide (if not the greatest). It would be fantastic if every single Skoda National Importer watched their countrie's Skoda Clubs and Forums.

And it is Ok to me if "they" gain some of "our" technical knowledge. Not every Skoda owner is a Skoda Club - Forum member too. It is like giving an answer to the "Uknown member" of our community facing a problem.

Maybe an online data base that we will be able to have a kind of access would be great. Such as giving VIN and getting back an automated e-mail conserning ECU updates, recalls, part numbers etc. I think it is easy to be done.

You think that Skoda would seriously consider addressing e.g. this thread of mine?

http://www.briskoda....quality-issues/

Somehow I doubt it... sadly.

If you are asking me, I doubt too but I believe from heart that they should.

SUK do indeed read this forum. It has been well documented. Don't put owt on here you wouldn't want them to know. eh Shifty? :giggle:

I'm sure they do read it. And definitely ppl must watch out for things best left unsaid. But since they're anyways browsing through, would be nice for them to take a more active participating role. I doubt they would address problems like yours @Diesel - probably would say "we're not authorized to make decisions - call your local dealer" -- but they might be encouraged to give advice at least. Or in the case of experts here, to learn something.
