Hello, i'm having a little problem with my vw Passat 2.0 tdi 2009 Common Rail model. It all started off a few weeks ago while i was driving on the motorway when the coil light started to flash and car went into limp mode. I pulled over and switched the car off and in again and started to drive fine with coil light going off.

Then recently it did it again and this time the management light come on as well as coil light flashing but again if i switch off the car and then on again the coil light stopped flashing but managemant was still on.

I got it checked on the diagnostics and I got an error code of P0299

I cleared the fault code and the car started to drive fine again until a couple of days ago it has started again with coil light flashing every now and then whilst boosting it.

I checked it again on the diagnostics and same fault code appeared again (P0299)

I've had a quick look at the turbo pipes for holes or splits and nothing is showing

I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem with there own cars and if you could possibly shine some light on this matter.

I would be appreciated even if you can tell me what direction to check

Check for leaks, Mechanical damage to Turbo,

then the likely one

Faulty charge air pressure sensor
