removing front grill

Featured Replies

how do you remove the front grill? do ii need a tool to press the plastic pegs together?

OH NO............not clips again.

Or if you have a hex bit holder (the bit that holds the various screwdriver heads) from a screwdriver set that works too i used it to take mine off, found it easier to use than the socket

OH NO............not clips again.

No, there's a very easy way of doing it. Push a 6mm socket over the bits sticking through the bonnet. As you press the socket towards the bonnet, the clips are released by pressing the pegs together equally around their circumference, and will not break. 6mm is the ideal, 5mm too small to go over the pegs, 7mm too wide to compress the clips enough to release them

Dead simple to do, it doesn't even need any effort to press the socket on.
