"Wobbly" Idle on VRS

Featured Replies

Just got my Limited Edition VRS Diesel

When standing in traffic the idle can sometimes be a bit wobbly. Rev stay constand but it's almost like a lose engine mount ?

Anyone else have similar symptoms ?

Mine does this as well I do think I have a worn engine mount though. Can you feel it chugging slightly when sat in the seat?

Yes and if I blip and release the throttle it causes it too.

Only 36k miles so I think it's a bit young to have worn the mount ?

If it is a diesel it will be the flywheel :whew: ( Dual mass ) people replace for a single mass one

I have a years warranty so shouldn't be an issue but just in case, is it a big (ie expensive) job?

Cheers

My PD170 does this too, same mileage, no warranty.

FYI i dont think the clutch and components are covered by Skoda warranty if thats what you have

I had a brand new (OEM) dual mass flywheel and clutch with new hydraulic cylinder and it still did it FYI.

Seems a feature to some cars. I solved mine by changing the idle speed slightly.

Does the diesel have a pcv valve like the tfsi? They are well known for causing lumpy idle.
