Superb2 2.0 PD 140, how good is it, any advice?

Featured Replies

I have a Superb 1.9 PD TDi Comfort and its great, I am looking at up grading to the Superb2 SE or Elegance 2.0 TDi PD 140, Ideally I'd like a CR 170 but due to budget constraints and availbility (lots more PD's than CR's for a lot less money with simular milage) the PD140 is the engine I will most probably end up with, from what I can tell this is a different engine form the ill fated 2.0 PD engine of the first Superb. Just want to know others experince of this car and engine and any advice of what to look out for? also will be using it for towing a 1490kg caravan which the current Superb tows effortlessly.

Cheers Bry

it is indeed a different engine from the MK1, the PD140 used in the Superb2 is a BMP engine code. i ran one for 2 years in DSG form for 44K miles, it was remapped after owning it for 1 year. The car was lovely and I only had one issue with the DPF sensor in that time, I would be driving it today had my work si****ion not changed.
