That does sound better to me, it had the cage a a few other things in it, dont all steros still come with cages?

Thanks for that ironicaly the company that recomended the £50 one

Again thanks

Which unit have you gone for exactly? Was thinking about doing this but will the iPod still work through the MDI & how easy would it be to fit?

PIONEER AVIC-F930BT

Im not to sure the MDI is neccisary as the headunit comes with both usb and aux ports

If it's from a dealer £50 sounds about right. However all these parts can be bought from a car audio retailer/store for much less.

Good choice, i had a pioneer avic in the TT for a while.

Bear in mind you might need a harness for steering wheel controls and for the instrument cluster display.

If that was included in the price for the fascia its not so bad...

Nope no wireing included just cage a few bits and bobs and facia, its from a car audio spechialist too!

Had bad experiance there before but decided to give a second chance

I origionaly wanted the jvc kw nt30 but they were out of stock and suggested the pioneer im kind of a jvc loyalist :p

You will need the one below that too - I got a Pioneer unit installed in mine and it uses both plastics.

Not the best pic I could find but notice the plastic frames.
