Never knew the fabia had this!

Lol. I know!

I thought I was out of luck myself at first but found that a decent spec toshiba businessy type laptop we have has got a serial port on.

The reason for serial is that VDS-pro runs in DOS!

My friend just bought a MK1 VRS SE for just over £5000. Reason it was so cheap - the previous owner had lost the service history - Guess where we found it!

  • The entrance to Narnia!

  • And I presume that it's not a problem on the diesel as it doesn't evaporate in the same way. So as long as I drive it like I stole it after every fill up it should be OK. Sorted.

WOW! I feel the need to challenge myself to make it work with DOSBOX and a USB serial port imitator....life gets boring when you're stuck between uni and starting a job!

Happened the other day on a busy street, but was pulling window up from drivers for passenger, went down and thought it went up when locked. Wide open all day haha

Sent from my GT-N7000

The under seat storage boxes are great too :D Don't forget the can cooler driver's side under light switch also :D

is this the pull down tray with the "on" button in it???

yeah, that's the one

I always wondered what this was. Pulling it in and out like an idiot thinking what the hell is this turning ON and OFF.

lol duuuuhhhhh!

This is not aimed at anyone in particular - but the cynical mind inside me would like to suggest that the thing most people never knew about the Fabia may be the fact there's a detailed Owner's Manual in the glovebox!

But who actually sits down and reads a manual when you buy the car? honestly ? :p

I think we have already worked the answer out haha :)

Me - bedtime reading!

Here's another quirk. If you blip the remote to unlock the car, then don't actually open a door, the car locks itself again after very roughly 40 seconds, but if you do open a door it stays unlocked...

/\ Passive locking, I'd claim as a feature rather than a quirk.

All I found was numerous empty small plastic bags and a scewed up black ice in my box.

More disappointment then...
