Tyre Prices

Featured Replies

Just had 2 Michelin ps3 fitted at ATS. Badgered them down to 135 a tyre all in. Got a claim form to send off for £50 of Saonsburys vouchers. That makes them £ 110 a corner. Replaced one pot holed and another fairly worn ps3's. Happy with them before and at that price happy again.

Similar here - got a pair of PS3s for £260 fitted at ATS after getting them to price match MyTyres,co.uk. With the £50 Sainbury's voucher, makes it a no brainer.

Hmmm, to be honest, i'd even consider getting a set of PS3's again this month if you get £100 back AND the difference is less than that for a set of Eagle F1's!

Hang on, just checked, and it's £50 for two or more EIGHTEEN inch tyres; having a L&K with 17's means I only get £25 for two or more, which is a bit harsh! AND to get even £50 i'd have to buy two, pay for them and then say, 'oh, you know what, i'll have another two seperately while i'm at it, if that's okay?!'

What a gyp! :)

....bloody hell!! Just checked the T&C's and you can only put one claim PER PERSON< PER HOUSEHOLD, so the most I can get is £25, full stop! AND the tyre place I use cos I trust 'em isn't even doing the promotion, according to the Michelin website!

Balls, i'll get the Goodyears!!

decent enough prices on lovetyres. most tyres are also in stock. the thing that confuses me is why are XL tyres cheaper than standards?? does it matter which ones you go for on a standard hatch?

Check out Tyre Shopper site. Barum have excellent rim protection.

Got mine fitted by National Tyres at no extra charge after ordering on line.

Just a hapy customer.

I have used both Camskill and MyTyres in the past 8 months with good results.

Guys, thanks for all the responses. I'm now also considering Dunlop SP01 MFS because they have a significant flange to protect the alloy.

I'm wary of Dunlop though due to adverse comments on here. Anyone with experience of these?

Many thanks!

Get the best price on the interweb for the tyres

Get the cheapest price locally for fitting

make sure both include VAT

Then add the 2 up & go to your prefered tyre company to see if they will price match, many will & you dont have the hassle of waiting in for tyre deliveries & then cramming 4 tyres into the car for a trip to the fitter. Also if you get any issues he supplied them & fitted them

I had the Dunops on the Scout, the std fit & wasnt over impressed with the grip but they did wear pretty well

Ive now gone to Toyo T1 Sports & they are so much better for grip & stability but Im guessing they may wear out quicker

Maxxis MA-Z1 here.

All good great tyre, less noisy than my old goodyears. Great in all conditions and the recent rain has had me trying them out in all conditions great for the money

Dunlops pricey and seemingly not well matched with the Octy's geometry (although I have had mine sorted by Wheels in Motion, Chesham).

Vred Sessanta's hard to get hold of at mo. Vred Ultrac Vorti XL's seem to get amazing reviews. Anyone got these?

Cheers.
