Erm Elephant and Admiral are actually the same company.

Also, they've never been mod friendly. I got a good quote from them in the past via comparison website - all mods declared.

When I subsequently phoned them up, they both categorically stated that they won't cover those mods so quote was invalid.

They won't cover front mount intercooler tried them this morning spoke to 2 diff people at admiral

All so diamond will insure me with mods for £1069 which is still cheeper than what I am paying with elephant who think the car is standard

Modified car = enthusiast = more likely to take care of their vehicle. Their statistics probably say so.

Now instead of arsing around and discussing it on here, get on the phone and get some proper insurance. Feel free to come back and chew the fat over it afterwards, but fact is that you're only just a peg above someone who doesn't bother buying any (I think in your case at least the third party would be able to claim from it) and you should rectify that ASAP tomorrow morning.

Adrian flux. £600. All mods declared. £230bhp turbo etc

Be careful with what companies actually mean when they say they cover mods.

As standard they dont actually cover modifications, they just acknowledge them and take them into account when calculating your premium.

I was with Bell for a while, who make it easy to get a quote and declare mods, which the above applies, same as admiral and elephant.

Brentacre offer proper cover, and have finally provided me with a competitive quote with all mods declared, so I'm with them now.
