I have a mk4 dashboard Golf CD changer sitting around and I was wondering if I could connect it to the Symphony radio CD in my Fabia and install it in the dash under the radio, just like a Golf. Has anyone tried this?

not tried it, but do you have an underseat storage compartment on the passenger side? That's where the factory fitted one would go.

It would need it's own power feed too IIRC.

Yes I have the under seat storage, there's a whole fitting kit required to put a CD changer under there and with the Fabia's tendancy to leak water I'm not sure I want a CD player that far down. I bought an in-dash CD player for £10 from a local breaker with the cables so sorting power shouldn't be that difficult!

Not done this mod myself....BUT here is my post with all the corrrect pin numbers and wire colours for the stereo and the CD changer (under seat) to help you wire it up...
