4x4 Broken :-(

Featured Replies

Hi

Took my car into a very reputable tyre place today to have the wheel tracking laser aligned today.

Didn't notice anything on the way home as it was rush hour. But just took the car out and it's wheel spining everywhere flashing the traction control light. It's very wet out there but I have never seen the traction light come on in the 2 months of owning the car.

Before I go mad at the tyre shop tomorrow, do you reckon they somehow disable the haldex in order to do the tracking. Can't personally see why they would.

Thanks

Kevin

Haldex wouldn't interfere with the tracking/alignment when stationary. Is it more likely they've clouted an abs sensor or similar?

That's also my suggestion. I'd check those ABS/ESP/EDL sensors first.
