In my quest for better performance i stumbled upon something called the turbonator. This seems to good to be true, wonder if any one has ever tried it, i would like to know, and what was the result, or just click on the link below and let me know what you think. Is this a good buy.

is it just me that pictured an indian guy in a vRS?

apparently they work at low speed but actually restrict things at high speed

You must be thinking of me then! :D lol

once it restricts at higher speeds then it is most definitely not for me thanks.

AFAIK this sort of thing won't do a lot of most modern engines, as it's not like the fuel isn't being combusted efficiently (it's a vapour at combustion time, so I don't see how it couldn't really be any more efficient!).

I've ordered 5 of them to be fitted to my vRS.

so did you fit it and how does it work.

I sent them back, I thought they were like some sort of time travelling robots that killed your enemies but they weren't!

The inlet manifold of your car should be design to agitate the air flow anyway so this is just a useless gimik. It reminds me alot of the http://www.ecotekplc.com/

It would, you'd be out of pocket for about

I think there was an electric supercharger, basically it was a powerfull fan that you put on the end of the air take, thing was there was no way that it could feed enough air into the engine at WOT or even give enough pressure to help out LOL

ok thanks. guess i will probably have to get a turbo built as there is not much performance modifications that can be made to the 1.4 16V petrol.

I think there is a company that mods 1.4 engines on here, someone else will be able to help.

Saying that though just remember that modding is expensive itself but you then have to account for the insurance premium hike. :thumbdwn:
