Given the current "vat free" deal is there any more margin for negotiation on basic price or options?

...I don't really expect Lee, our friendly Skoda saleman,who has already replied to this thread, to answer this question...

Depends on the dealer but personally i have found getting a few extras thrown in is easier than getting money off

Thanks for the mention XK140, all I will say is dittoed to what Richf has put, every dealer is different

When the VAT-free offer was on beginning of this year (Feb?) I enquired to their best price on a few Skodas - in fact I gave them my budget for each vehicle in question. After a week, they came back with "list price". They didn't get the business...as if the list price was within the budget I wouldn't have had to ask... I was only needing a few hundred off anyway - and most of the online brokers claimed to be able to do it, and more.
