16" wheel - refusal at first hurdle

Featured Replies

I emailed to Mark Fox and Shelly Lynch of Skoda UK ( the personal email address of Shelly Lynch which I tried got bounced back to me, so I emailed to customers services 'for attention of Mark Fox and Shelly Lynch). Requesting that 16" Moon alloys be fitted to my Yeti 1.2 SE DSG (which is on order, and for which I now have the order number) This is the reply I got by return (inside an hour or two) from a Charlotte Wormald, Customer Relations Manager. I suspect Shelly Lynch is no longer with Skoda?

"Thank you for your email received 17 July 2012 with regard to alloy wheels. I checked with our retail and sales department and can clarify your ŠKODA Yeti 1.2 TSI cannot be built with 16" Moon alloywheels. The only 16" alloys available on the ŠKODA Yeti range are on the Greenline model. I apologise in advance if this has caused any disappointment. If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me via telephone on 0845 774 5745."

I am very disappointed - but I have now tried to get thru to Mark Fox direct - but I had an 'out of office until July 30th' email back to me from his desk. I do hope he has the authority to do something for me. I mentioned to him in the email that I had it on the good authority of BRISKODA that the 'impossible' had been managed for other customers . . . so . . . . I keep my fingers crossed. Dunno whether to be hopeful or not.

Why start another thread on the same topic as you already have??

My previous thread was asking for opinions pro and con 16/17 wheels.

This thread is different I thought: having decided to ask for 16" I was refused.

Sorry if I have offended the forum protocols. My mistake.

I would have thought Skoda would bite your arm off wanting to have 16" wheels as a 'no cost' option as they will make a tidy extra profit of around £450. (according to a previous poster stating cost of upgrading from 16-17" )
