New to forum - Soon to be new owner

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

After thinking about buying a new car for months, I ended up test driving a VRS and loved it!

Picking mine up on Monday hopefully, just thought I would join the forums and say hello!

Can't wait to drive it away!

Here's a pic for anyone who's interested ( bit wet with the crappy weather down south! )

One thing I've noticed is that it doesn't have the black headlights, are they optionally fitted when the car is ordered? Pretty sure it says they come as standard on the Skoda website!

Time to have a browse around the site!

Cheers!

Dan

I thought black headlights were standard now as well!

Still, yours looks the business - welcome to the forum.

They are now since my12 I think but they wernt before. They can be fitted but are expensive

Well she has black grill which is part of the back pack, i like it suits the white roof and alloys and the vlack grill stops there being too much white. I have to say mate i really do lyk it

I had the black pack as standard on my 61 plate

I have a 60 plate, and there's no black pack...

enjoy your new car :)

Yeah I gotta say I haven't spotted to many online with the same colour combo!

The guy in the garage did say it comes with the black pack, but without the black headlights, it makes me thing that the previous owner might of had a standard/chrome grill on it, and just upgraded it! Looks like he has tinted the rear lights and side indicators also, as well as adding a white Nurburgring sticker above the VRS badge....not sure if I like that bit!

When I pick it up and get my hands on all the docs, I will have a proper look through and see if the original spec sheet is in there from when it come out the factory and see what it says, as well as receipts for any other work carried out....

Might see if I can get my hands on some black lights as a potential upgrade, depending on cost!

Cheers for your opnions/help!

Talking of upgrading from standard chrome to black lights, does anyone know if they are a straight swap or do wires need splicing?

Black pack wasn't an option on the 60 plate cars, mine is 11 plate and I couldn't have it as not avaliable. Looks like someone has just changed the grille.

Welcome to the blue and white club :)

Hi Dan

Nice looking motor. I'm a new vRS owner myself, have had mine now for just a under 2 months. Gives me great pleasure every time I drive it, you'll not be disappointed.

Looks great in that colour combination, I'd take off the Nurburgring sticker though ;)

Andy

Hi & welcome very nice looking car

Welcome Dan,

What a lovley looking car, they are a joy to drive and go like stink, enjoy mate.

Ron.

Definitely not a black-pack car on a '60' plate. The previous owner has been at work modding that one it seems.... They must have swapped the grill for the black one, a few other people on this forum have done the same. I doubt the car has ever been round the Nurburgring so I'd defo take the sticker off. I did see one of those stickers on a motor the other day tho but instead of 'Nurburgring' it said 'Never Been' which I thought was quite funny
