Correct Sachs Shocks For VRS?

Featured Replies

There are two on the Sachs site.

Does anybody know the correct Sachs part number for shocks on a VRS?

People like ECP say its the 300032 (ecp PN 635440170) but the Sachs site says thats the 'touring' setup. They list 312594 and say its "for vehicles with sports suspension".

So presumably the VRS has the second one, not the one everybody is listing??

Thanks

Sorted it, but for anybody in future searches...

Its the more expensive ones labled "for sport suspension".

ECP and all these people list the wrong shocks for the VRS!!

So anybody who's bought them I would check because I'm very confident you will find your going anound on the wrong ones!

That aside, forget Sachs or any aftermarket ones.

The dealer is dirt cheap (and 100% the correct part). £80 for the pair vs over £100 for aftermarket parts.

Good call for following up on your own issue! Not many would do that. FYI, there is a dealer who runs a shop on ebay discounting genuine parts:

A pair of vRS rear shocks are £61.99 with free delivery (although you need to call them for delivery to some areas but it's still free).

I just bought a pair & they are the genuine article and the part numbers are the same for the Fabia 1 range!

Seems like a good deal that - I will save them for future.

Yes, so often the case, like many others, I went straight to ECP for a pair of rear ones - did the same for rear springs, though in all honesty, I'd reckon that my VW dealer would have had to order them in - and in the case of the rear springs, the car had just failed its MOT and I had 2 hours to get parts, fit them and return for a retest.
