Hi All,

Brendan Hamilton is my name and I hail from the Banner county (Co. Clare) in the west of Ireland. I currently have a new Octavia RS on order with a dealership in Dublin Ireland (Autostation)....can't wait to take delivery. The test drive was really impressive and lived up to ALL the reviews I had read previously on the net.

Any tips for me?

Generally, i dont like to be one of those people to open up another topic that has been exhausted time and time again, but after extensive research, i really am struggling to find a forum response that matches fully with my issue. I owned a 2017 Superb Mk III and recently swapped to a Mk IV and love the car apart from one very dangerous fault. Occasionally, the car decides I’m about to hit something and slams on the brakes - so hard, that you think you have hit something! It has happened several times whilst manoeuvering at low speed in reverse which is somewhat disquieting. But it has also recently done it whilst driving forwards - in no way on any occasion was there a risk of collision with either stationary or mobile
