Stronger internals?

Featured Replies

I know the pd100 isnt as "strong" as the pd130. But whats different inside? And is it worth changing? Or can i just fit a pd130 bottom end o to my pd100 and everything be okay i.e. ancilleries?

Wanting to be pushing 220-ish by the end of it hopefully. Turbo, injectors + intercooler Are all due to be changed :)

Cheers, luke

Better off gettin a vrs engine or a whole car really id say, i know a lad with a pd100 @168bhp and its quicker than my mapped vrs

Well my last one ran 145bhp with no problems. But i wanted to turn it up a notch really.

devonutopia is probably the best guy to talk to about the pd100 engine.

I've been told that the rods are thinner than vrs rods, and can only handle bout 170ish bhp.

thats abit crap really :/

so are the bottom ends cross compatible? or would i have to swap the whole lot out?

I know a couple of people running 200bhp on PD100`s but i`d not want to go any more than that i think.

I think a plan might be to tune the pd100 this year and replace the internals/engine next year or something

if your going to replace the engine next year i would just save your money and not touch the 100 at all and put it all towards the 130 and mods for it.

But mods like turbo etc are all compatible. So it makes no difference surely

If you want good results then you will want a decent map that will set you back abit and can go towards the new engine. Just thinking logical and im a tight buga lol.

Hey Luke

Just wait for a cheap pd130 to come up on eBay they can be had now and then :) I think that will be your best idea buddy as you can always go for more power in the future :)
