Found this thread... same for Octy? (Slight pull to left)

Featured Replies

From my experiences of driving trucks and cars all over the place, this is what I have learnt re the pulling to the left.

Most of my cars/trucks have pulled to the left......apart from the ones made in britain. They didn't pull either way.

When driving abroad, you would expect a pull to the right with the camber. In my experience, this is not the case. All the vehicles that I have driven with a pull to the left have driven straight and true in all other countries. (apart from Greece where the roads are made of glass and there is no grip, camber, or tarmac whatsoever).

This leads me to believe that its a design flaw. Left hand drive cars are designed to run on the right hand side of the road with a right hand camber.

It's my view that this is not taken into account when making the right hand drive version to run on a left camber.

Nope, if a car company goes the the effort of moving evcerything else to the other side of the car I dont think they'd leave out something so fundamental.

Drive down the wrong side of the road then you'll all realise it is the camber.

Just my view thats all. My view after having literally done well over a million miles just in trucks pondering the same problem. I made such a fuss over it that at one point the bloke from michelin, and the bloke from daf both examined one truck in particular, and their conclusion was it was the other ones fault, no mention of camber at all. Still an unsolved mystery. My Fabia being no exception.

just a thought try driving backwards see what happens

I cannot be blamed for any accidents during this experiment ;-)
