You have a 10 or 12 year anti corrosion warranty.

Would you have to carry a proof of purchase though? Or is the fact that you have a Skoda car good enough?

You have a 10 or 12 year anti corrosion warranty.

But only if the car has had all its normal routine service at the correct service intervals and service inspections for rust etc and fully stamped by official Skoda dealer.

Remember to read your Paint and Corrosion Warranties. (or hole in panel stuff they sometimes sprout)

Do you need an Annual inspection, or 2 year or 3 year, rules on the car being clean etc. To keep within 6 years 12 years or whatever?

Gen up on it,

get Opinions from a Professional Bodyshop, and if you dont ask you dont know.

If you need to have repairs and repainting done yourself, remember a rub down and Rust Inhibit and respray is worth nothing if the Corrosion or pin hole is in the panel and the moisture is coming from behind.

It will keep coming back if it only gets cosmetically re-finished...

So the back of the panel needs de-rusted, Rust Inhibited, Sealed, Prepared Etched, Primed , Painted,

otherwise doing the bodywork you see is a waste of time and money.

My lads previous 03 Classic (in Laser blue) had a number of the above type of marks down the lower sides and tailgate; put them down to small hardly noticeable stone chips that over time had blistered. Unlikely to be coved by warranty, so the best he could do was put a small dab of touch up over them to try stop them getting worse.

well heard back from skoda. Not classed as a paint defect. :(

I guess this sort of thing will be the topic of an increasing number of posts on Briskoda over the next year or two as the MK1 Fabias get older, just like posts about turbos being replaced.
