Coil packs recall

Featured Replies

Ive read on here that skoda were replacing coil packs free of charge. If so, are they still doing this? And how do I go about getting them? Where would my nearest dealer be? (I live in rotherham)

You just need to call your local dealer, give them your details to see if it's been done or not. Then you go in, they check the coil packs. If they are of the correct type they will be changed free of charge for the latest sort.

Note non genuine coil packs if they have been changed previously won't be replaced.

Cheers pal

As above,

Also, If they try to fob you off quote Ignition Coil Campaign No: 28 F7

Good Luck

They can't fob you off. Every vehicle that comes into the workshop has to be checked for campaigns. If its elidgeable then the work gets carried out.

I just called my garage , farmers in Leicester and they were great. She's booked me in and getting the coil packs ordered ready to be fitted with none of that checking first then coming back another day that I've read about on other coil topics.

They will have them in stock but will need to check your coil packs first to see of they need to be changed.

Yeh check your coil packs to make sure none has been replaced in the past! I checked mine before I set off to get them changed, found one wasn't oem but luckily had 2 spare oem ones lol
