Just been shopping and bought myself a few bits for the Octy that iv been after for a while.

Central locking switch, the one near the hand brake, apparently common problem for these to fail and got myself new hand brake trim, the matt plastic has worn badly.

How do i get the centre console up to get these bits in? Personally i hate working with trim, i either snap all the small annoying clips or it goes back on with a squeak :wonder:

Get your self some trim removal tools, they help immensely rather than slipping and braking stuff with a flat head screw driver!

Look up the threads on here about fitting the Jumbo box.

There is one with photos that shows how to remove the original trim.

Abit more tricky then i thought it would be, i thought it might just pull up from near the gear stick.. obviously not. Forgot it was all once piece.

I have bought some trim tools..5 piece kit for £5 bargain!

It's a piece of p1ss. A few weeks before the pics and links started appearing on here, I worked it out just by taking my time and using common sense. It's pretty logical if you do it slowly.
