If you couldn't have a Skoda what would you have?

If you couldn't have a Skoda (for whatever hypothetical reason) what would you have?

Has to be brand new and up to around 50K

I'm tempted to say Insignia OPC

 :x:sick:

Audi TT-RS if it had to be new.

Are we talking VAG or just Skoda?

Are insignia's VAG? lol

Sent from my Galaxy S2 not a Crapple!

Wouldn't say no to a 335i (or D) Sport off the top of my head, or an M1.

If there was still an R32/R36 I'd love one of those too, but there isn't, so nothing VAG offer I'd want currently. :(

Renault Twizy 17bhp....... Then I'd drive straight over the top of it with Q7 bought with the rest of the money!

Audi TT-RS if it had to be new.

I've been looking at them myself but with the garage full with toys it would be no good outside on a night!

Just a question mate.

Judging by your posts you've obviously got a few quid so.... Why did you get a yeti?

Not knocking the yeti but why not a Q5 or something?

Hmmmm.

Audi Allroad BiTDi.

What about it's big Brother the VRX8. 6.2 V8 GTS?

£49,995!

May even think about that myself!

You might be disappointed :hi:

better off with a TT-S Convertable S-Tronic.

Me, well, possible an A3 2.0T S-line Black Edition Convertable. Almost a Q car.

But then again a Year old RS6 Avant would be nice and under 50k

Hmmmm.

Audi Allroad BiTDi.

Been using one today, and they are very nice, but it was spec'd to about 60K.

Mmmmmm......another rethink may be in order.

RS4 avant if you can get one for less than £50k if not, a Citroen C5 Tourer exclusive

Subaru brz although id hold out till a turbod, stripped out track version was released :D

honest question, how is a TT-S better than a TT-RS when it has less cylinders and less powers?

If I was being sensible and not spending a fortune, a new Freelander.

If money was no object a new Discovery.

Oh, and a Morgan +4 for the weekend with either!

Brand new car wise, there's nothing I want more than the RS3, such an unnecessary car - fantastic!

Mazda CX5 + The hottest possible Lotus seven with the loose change.

I was asking myself this question back in December just before placing an order for a Yeti. Briefly wondered about an ix35 but the only real competition was a Defender. My first job involved modifying 88s & 108s for use in Africa and when the 90 & 110 were introduced I thought they were the best thing since sliced bread. We had one of the first 130s (127" doublecab pickup/crewcab) from Solihull and I've wanted one ever since. The Yeti is a compromise - I convince myself it's a mini 90 but without the Land Rover reliability issues :)

Of course I've only spent half the budget you've set, so if you can let me have the rest I can have a Defender as well :)

You're allowed anything apart from a Skoda...though 'allowed' sounds a bit weird. I suspect most people are on this forum as they have a Skoda, I was just curious what other cars people like and purposely capped it at 50k so that it's an 'accessible' car. Everybody would love a Ferrari or Bugatti (ok, not quite everybody), but it's not accessible for most people.

C63 amg :)

But... you don't have to spec it that high! I think the A7 with the same engine costs more...

Either way, worth a punt. Been pining for a diesel Allroad for some time. Such a brilliant all rounder- classy, understated, practical, shining all-weather capability, quick, fairly economical even with the big diesels. Interiors are lovely too.

A TTRS is a phenomenally fast car when mapped but it's still an Audi TT.

I'd personally not waste money on a brand new car so it would be a 997 Turbo, GT3, an Aston v8 or an Evora S.
