Dance - No Actual Bass

Featured Replies

Hi. Anyone else notice how bad the Dance system is at bass guitar. Way too much thud and no notes. Was playing Stevie Wonder's Do I Do (arguably Nathan Watts finest hour) from MP3 CD the other day and it was as if poor old Nate wasn't actually playing anything. A travesty. I messed with the bass and mid's and nothin' happened. Only thing that made much difference was to stop driving. Not heard a system so good at removing bass. Wondering if there is anything I can do about it.

Get a different head unit!!!!!...........the standard units Bass and Treble points are fixed at a particular frequency!

Due to the sound scape in a car.......... getting good reproduction is hard and costs money..........BUT

Get a headunit with a built in x-over....

My Pioneer £150 approx has three main points (bass, mid, treble)..........I can increase the volume of each point (like a standard bass, treble unit)........BUT I can shift how high up or down the frequency range the point is!. I can also alter the "slope" cut off for each point, and various other things. So I can get as much bass, treble etc as I want and alter the whole soundstage!

even just adding a small cheap sub will give more bass.

Ta for replies. I tried rolling the bass and mids right off and quite like the result so far. Will see how it develops
