FIrstly apologies, this has been done to death I'm sure but search is throwing up loads of stuff and nothing definitive.

I have and ASZ VRS and am looking atblanking off the EGR. It was mapped out ages ago when I had the map done but I've never got around to doing it. I don't want to remove it all together as I don't want to lose the ant-shudder valve.

Can someone give me a comcise step by step guide as to what needs doing or point me in the direction of one if it's been done before.

• I want to know what needs doing to the top two rubber pipes?
  
• Which bit am I blanking off? I've seen comments made about not doing it at the top of the pipe with the flexible connection but rather at the bottom, is this correct?
  
• Can I blank it of with aluminium cans, is it really up to the job? I have a bit of 3mm aluminium tread plate which I'm sure could be fashioned to the correct shape.
  
• Any other advice or caution to be warey of.

pipe running from turbo manifold to egr need blanking on the turbo and the egr side.

I have 1x blanking plate forthw turbo if interested

If its been mapped out but your leaving it all in there just leave the vacuum pipes connected.

The egr valve won't lift as the ecu will tell it to stay closed

Is it the ASZ or the BLT which you can't map the CEL out or have I got that wrong?

Should be fine if you use a steel can, as opposed to an aluminium one.

If it's already mapped out then just leave it.

Give it a good clean so that there is no restriction and so the ASV can operate properly then refit it all.

If you do want to blank the holes off then just use some coke can as above.
