I get it man! You don't want to affect that pain for sure; however, I have seen a member here do it with amazing success on a black fabia. I bet that black paint is much more sensitive. unfortunately, I don't remember the topic :/

He used plastic wire to take them off and some kind of deformable pad for the glue.

might give it a go today see what the outcome is, hope it all goes to plan!

ended up giving it a go and taking the rub strips off, paint was perfect behind to my amazment!

Looks better! What did you use to get the glue off? Mine took hours lol!

Thanks mate! Used a credit card and white spirit, then machine polished with cutting compound after. Took about 30 mins either side but the end product is all worth it!
