Question for David Bailey types ....

Featured Replies

my little camera is past its best and so have looked to replace it

Started looking at little compacts but then as I got to the upper end saw "bridge" cameras for a similar price

then looked on ukhot deals and saw this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Canon-EOS-600D-DSLR-Camera-18-55mm-II-Lens-Refurbished-/280937420323?pt=UK_CamerasPhoto_DigitalCameras_DigitalCameras_JN&hash=item41692cd623#ht_1197wt_1139

Whats the consensus always liked photography but not had the cash previously

They are great cameras but then most DSLR’s are now and at a great price. However I think these are Guarantee returns which Canon repair and then sell on eBay. I’ve looked at them myself in the past and although most of the deals seam to go O.K. I checked some of the negative feedback they get when it does go wrong. They often seem to send out the wrong item or even items that do not work and when they do it seems to be very difficult to get any joy from them. But saying that it’s a great price about £120 off the best shop prices.

Got my first dslr (350d) from the canon eBay shop as a refurb - had a small scratch on the back, but they're guaranteed to be 100% working. If you can live with cosmetic imperfections then they're a decent place to buy.

It lasted over 3 years of rather heavy use and sold it on to someone who's still got it going strong.

If you can deal with the size over a pocket camera/bridge then I'd say go for it. It's a great little camera.

Sounds like a good deal.

My one question would be "Is it supplied with a new battery?"
