limp mode, exhaust light and echaust sound blowly

Featured Replies

Was driving on m1 other day to work all of sudden car lost power and went into limp mode.

Had it scanned and it came up with egr fault intake fault and wastegate fault.

Checked all boost pipes and vacuum pipes cleaned wat little gunk there was in egr and checked turbo veins move.

Anyone got any ideas what else it could be.

Have a aweful feeling i have overlooked simple thing of checking the maf.

You could try cleaning the MAF with some electrical contact cleaner or similar.

Ah just realised you mention a blowing exhaust sound.

Are you certain that the pipes from the exhaust manifold to the EGR are secure and that there isn't a split in the pipe somewhere?

Phil

mine was like this the flexi section of the pipe ^ had a split which was hard to see without the engine running and having a good fettle

Quite common especially when people attempt an EGR delete leave that pipe in place and block the EGR end of it up.

^ exactly what i did because a stupid guide i read! haha
