Hi,

Seeking opinions from Greenline owners or other who have fitted the so called TUNING BOX to increase MPG....locally here in Ireland / Uk they are priced from 70 sterling to 300!!!

All good advice welcome.....Ive heard that I should forget the Mapping ( 250 sterling ) and just get a good tuning box ( 80 sterling ) . Buying v.soon hoping for 40MPG as a taxi 1000 miles / week inner city ?

Tuning Box? Why?

My Superb Greenline, same as yours, but 59, has always been a taxi and my average mpg is in excess of 43 for the whole of its life.

Did discover that the wrong settings in the computer first showed even more amazing figures, I had to change to US gallons to get an accurate UK figure... OH yes! I kept all my fuel figures and the mileage from my taximeter (much more accurate than any car makers' figures) put them into a carefully constructed spreadsheet and was delighted to discover the accuracy of the Skoda on board computer after making the above mentioned change.

The Greenline is more than Superb - it's the most spacious and economic I've had in 38 years of driving taxi.
