iPod Help

Anyone know the easiest way to get an iPod hooked up to the Fabia?

Connects2 is the best one. Just search google.

I just got a alpine head unit.

As mentioned connects 2 kit is prob best if you want to keep the original headunit, I bought a 2nd hand one off here but it doesn't fit only fits mk2 Octavia. Dam it lol.

I will be getting the correct one and prob get Techie (Ross) to fit it.

I don't know if it's the same as on my Superb, but I've got an xcarlink jobbie that piggyback's into the CD changer socket on my HU. Steering wheel controls work with it, but only track up or down and volume. iPod controls also work at the same time. I quite like it. Was about £80 and 10 mins to fit DIY.

PS: I've got an FM transmitter one too if you want to give it a go. You might have better luck than me, but it wasn't my cuppa tea.

Just make sure your stereo has an AUX input and then just get an AUX lead. I connect my iPhone to the aux lead and it plays all of my music, you may have to change the settings on your stereo so it is off e.g. FM and instead on AUX setting.

The only trouble is you have to skip song on the iPod/iPhone yourself but I really think its a cheap way to listen to all your music and your friends mp3's will work on it as well. :)

I'd personally get a double din ipod head unit. Most aftermarket HU's sound better than the OE ones. The one thing to be careful of is that it comes with the cable. Some mfr's make a unit described as "made for ipod" etc, yet you have to buy an additional cable at expense.

Sony mech less headunit. Less the £100, sounds great, iPod control and no wires. Best headunit I've bought in years.

I've just bought this one to replace the factory head unit. Only £79 and streams music via bluetooth, has a USB port on the front for charging stuff or using flash drives and a 3.5mm jack. Also comes with a microphone so you can use it for hands free calling, reviews seemed good!
